The senate office will work closely with the national and county governments on their policies to support the empowerment of youth.
The office will also enhance its oversight of county budgets to ensure that adequate programmes and funds are provided to support youth in the county.
It will also review reports from both levels of government to ascertain whether the youth, women and persons with disabilities are benefitting from the statutory 30% in public procurement.
The Mandera senate office will work with Youth Enterprise Development Fund and other national agencies to increase support to youths in the counties.
The office will also support all measures to discourage youth radicalization.
